Man City News NowWhat we do
Man City News Now brings the latest Manchester City news into one place. Every 10 minutes we check fan blogs, news sites, podcasts and YouTube channels for new stories, so you can see what's being said about City without visiting a dozen sites.
We're an unofficial fan site, run by City fans. We're not affiliated with Manchester City FC, the City Football Group or the Premier League.
How it works
For each story we show the headline, a short snippet of no more than a couple of sentences, the source's name and a link. Continue reading takes you to the original article on the publisher's own site. We never copy or host full articles, and we don't put other sites in a frame.
Stories from news sites and blogs use a placeholder image with the source's name, unless the publisher has given us permission to use their pictures. Videos and podcast episodes show their own artwork.
Trending stories are ranked by how many readers open them and how recent they are. Nobody pays to appear here. See the full list of sources we follow.
Fixtures, results and the Premier League table come from football-data.org.
For publishers: our feed reader
If you've found MCNNBot/1.0 (+https://www.mancitynewsnow.com/about) in your logs, that's us. It reads only your public RSS or Atom feed, and:
- checks each feed at most once every 10 minutes,
- sends
If-None-MatchandIf-Modified-Since, so an unchanged feed costs you almost nothing, - backs off when your server returns errors, and stops altogether after repeated failures,
- keeps only each item's title, link, date and a snippet of up to 300 characters,
- sends every reader who wants the full story to your site.
